Fun with Helium

Michael has met some really great students while at UC and some of them have been very entertaining... such as our new friends Axel, Louisa, Alex and Caroline from Europe.

****Just a note, we do not condone the inhalation of Helium :) ****

A couple of weeks ago we had them over for dinner and while one of my old birthday balloons was floating around the ceiling, Axel mentioned that he had seen people using helium in movies and didn't know what it did... so of course we dared him to try it! They said they don't have helium inflated balloons in Europe and they had never played with them before! Go figure!

This is actual footage of our friend Axel from Belgium and Louisa from France having fun with a helium balloon! Too funny to not add!! BTW I love how she says "Bonjour"! Too Cute!

Fun with the Wii

We recently had some of our friends over to play our New Wii and we had a lot of fun! When it became very apparent that the 'new' players play much different than the 'seasoned' players (because having had our Wii for an entire month, that is what Michael and I like to call ourselves, 'seasoned' players), we just had to get it on camera. So, this video is for you Louis... if you would like to study the technique and come on over for another round, we will be waiting for you. And Michael will be sure to wear his helmet...

Who wears the pants in the family?

Apparently Fitz does.

So, Michael has this habit of leaving clothes all over the house and normally I complain and nag, but this kodak moment was too cute to get mad about. For those who don't know, since we don't have children our cats fill the void for the time being.

Their names are Fitzgerald (Fitz for short) and Sadie, and they seem to thing everything of ours is theirs, even our pants apparently.

Luckily, I had the camera nearby and didn't disturb her slumber too much.

My 27th (or 18th) Birthday Party

Michael threw me a party for my 27th Birthday and we had such a great time. We love to get together with friends and have party's at our home and this time around Michael was in charge of everything from decorations (none) to food (hamburgers and hotdogs). He even decorated my cake I made and did such a great job and just for fun he wrote my age in candles on the top - 18 - I guess he thought I was feeling old or something...
Well, after eating cake he presented me with my Birthday present, a Wii Game System!! I had no idea he was going to give this to me for my birthday even though I had told him before it would be fun to have. We had a lot of fun setting it up and playing some tennis that night while some of our friends were still there.

Overall, it was a great birthday. I have discovered that 27 is not NEARLY as old as I thought it would be when I was 9. Michael did a pretty good job with the party planning, although I am sure he appreciates all I do in previous planning because of his lone efforts at this party, but I am sure we will have many more get-together's in the future.

I also have to say thanks to Michael's family for thier contribution to my B-Day present!! Especially my bestest sister-in-law Tish!! You're GREAT!!!

Big B's B-Day Party

A few weeks ago my friend Jennie gave a surprise party for her husband Britton. We had such a great time in the Mansion at their apartment complex playing pool, ping-pong and taking pictures. All of us girls tried a few times (okay, maybe 9 or 10) to get a good picture and here are our attempts in order. We tried to use the automatic button but just couldn't get it right!! Needless to say, we had a lot of fun trying to strike a perfect pose. I think we may have gotten one or two decent pics out of it!
